The IDF sent a medical team of over 220 search and rescue personnel. They are working 24/7 extracting victims of the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti.

They have constructed a field hospital which is capable of treating up to 500 people a day near the soccer field in Port-au-Prince. The first baby born in the field hospital was given the name “Israel” by the new mother on 1/17/10.

A 52 yr. old man, trapped for 90 hours in rubble – sent a text message to rescuers who then dug him free in 8 hrs. and treated his injuries.
